Update on Steven's eye

Photo: Update to previous status:
Steven went back to the ER this morning. The pain intensity was so high, he was waking all through the night with cold sweats and vomited multiple times. The eye is healing, but the light sensitivity is very high.
He is to take it easy all weekend, and stay in darkened quarters while applying 5 separate medicinal eye drops every hour. This is what his eye looks like now -- 2 days after the initial injury.

Illianna has been very sweet this whole time. She gives me all his different eye drops and holds his hand every time. She likes to have mommy pretend to put some in her eyes after Daddy gets some. We go back to the doctor on Monday to see if it is still improving. The eye itself is whiter instead of pink so that is great!

Steven's eyes

Last night Steven was playing with Illianna and he was laying on the floor. She got up and grabbed his phone. (Which he didn't see) She then threw it at him. Hitting him directly in the left eye. He didn't have time to even close his eyes because he didn't know what was happening.

We decided to go to Insta-care because his tears were red from blood. We took Illianna to the neighbors and left. When we got there Steven was shaking so bad from the pain. The Insta-care doctor could not open his eye so he told us we needed to go to the ER.

So we went to the ER. They put us a darker room which was good. The ER doctor was able to open Steven's eye with much pressure and put in lots of different eye drops and run some tests. He determined that Steven had some lacerations on his eye, I asked if I could look at it and saw that he had cuts on the upper inner eyelid.

Steven was given many pain relievers and sent us home with an appointment a optometrist. We got home around 11pm. Illianna thankfully went right to bed and so did Steven.

We went to the doctor this morning and determined that the lacerations was on the upper white part of his eye. He told us with eyes it normally gets worse before it gets better. So we have to met with him again tomorrow morning. Steven is not allowed to drive and the doctor doesn't think Steven can test for West Jordan on Saturday.

Illianna talk

Nothing new going on. Just thought I would just give you some Silly Illianna stories.

We are trying to teach Illianna her vowels. And she is great at repeating Daddy, it goes like this.
D - Illianna say A
I - a
D - E
I - ee
D - I
I - i
D - O
I - ou
D - U
I - ME!

She says many words that don't make sense. For example, Momma and Grandma sound like "ma-ma." However, when she wants me she signs "ma-ma" but she doesn't sign for grandma.

I love you sounds like "ah-kou."  Which is really funny when we know she is telling someone "I love you" and they have no idea that is what she is saying.

She is 100% crazy about Curious George! She is always happy when George is on and she signs the word "monkey" every time she sees him.

She prefers to wear swim diapers because they are blue and that is the best color name she can say.
